The Worshipful Company of Turners

Supporting the Craft, City and Charity for over four hundred years

It is an exciting time in the life of St Bride’s as we prepare to welcome some new members to the team.  On 20th May Josh Delia will begin work as our verger and facilities manager, accompanied by his wife Emily, who hopes to begin a new post in London very soon.  Later in the summer, on 4th July, our ‘Self Supporting’ Assistant Curate, Jeff Lake, will be ordained at St Paul’s Cathedral.  Jeff and his wife Sandra were able to join us for a service here on Palm Sunday, and it was lovely to be able to spend some time with them.

Ascension Day is almost upon us, and we shall be marking the event with a ‘said’ service of Holy Communion in the Guild Chapel at 1.15 pm on Thursday 14th May.

Looking further ahead, we have the annual Wren Talk to look forward to on the evening of Wednesday 10th June, this year delivered by Simon Thurley.  It will be an excellent evening, so do please book your tickets as soon as possible!

The St Bride’s Summer Party on Thursday 2nd July is not to be missed – particularly as we are hoping to welcome a rather unexpected mystery celebrity to the festivities this year.

Another date for your diary is 25th/26th June when we are delighted to be hosting a concert of Jazz Music by Paul Ryan and Kenny Clayton.

We very much look forward to seeing you over the summer months, both to our regular services and to our special events.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need more information about any of our activities – although you will probably find all that you need to know on the St Bride’s website, St Brides Church Fleet Street

Warmest good wishes,

Alison Joyce

Rector of St Bride’s
