Bursary Award Winners 2022 Announced
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners of the Worshipful Company of Turners bursary award for 2022. The scheme had been delayed a year due to the pandemic, and so it was wonderful to be back interviewing and meeting so many fantastic candidates. As always some difficult decisions and choices had to be made, despite the total award fund being raised to £12,000 for this year. The final winners are a group of innovative, interesting, and inspiring woodturners for very many different reasons. You can read their stories here.
The award winners are:
Jon Baily, Steve De St Croix, Nathanael Griffiths, Florence Hamer, Ruth Murchie, Nathan Savory, Arturo Soto, Dennis Wake
Each turner will receive a sum of money to help with their individual requests of tuition, training, or supplies, and will have a mentor from the Company to guide them through the process. The winners will also benefit from the Company raising their profiles through features on the Company website and social media, along with all the various activities that the Company gets involved in. We look forward to following their progress.
