Advent began at the end of November when worship was suspended during the lockdown. Now restrictions have eased, we are looking forward to welcoming visitors and worshippers to our programme of events as we prepare for Christmas.
Turning Against Torture Auction
Liveryman Michael Maisey and others have turned some beautiful items and passed them onto local artists to add their own unique decoration. The auction will run until 13th December, proceeds going to Freedom From Torture.

London Green Wood, we can all find resilience in outdoor life
London Green Wood is a non-profit cooperative of woodworkers practising rural crafts in the city. Our aim is to encourage crafty-ness, creativity and self-reliance in everybody. Courses are available to book now.
Wizardry in Wood 2020 – postponed to 2021
Our wonderful 'Wizardry in Wood' exhibition planned for October at Carpenters' Hall will be postponed. But we are delighted to let you know this has been re-scheduled for 12-16 October 2021 at the same venue.

We are pleased to announce that Turners / Cockpit Arts awards winner 2017, Darren Appiagyei will be exhibiting at London Craft Week 2020, due to be held from September 30th to October 10th at various venues.

Lord Mayor’s Show Live on TV – Cancelled
The Lord Mayor’s Show, one of the landmark events in the City of London’s calendar, has been reduced and redesigned this year, because of COVID-19 public health restrictions. It will now be held as a contained and televised spectacle in the historic Guildhall Yard on Saturday 14 November.

Livery Hall virtual tours
Three of the City’s Livery Halls offer an online virtual ’tour’ of their respective hall. While the tours aren’t guided, they do provide the opportunity to browse around the halls at leisure.
Online Worship at St Bride’s Church
Covid-19 has changed our ministry at St Bride's in unexpected ways. Our worship has moved online with services at 11am & 5:30pm each Sunday. These are streamed live on Facebook, or are available on our website.
Virtual Wisley Spring 2020
Unfortunately the Contemporary Spring Craft Fair which takes place at RHS Garden Wisley has been cancelled this year. They are therefore staging a virtual version, where you can visit all the makers from the comfort of your home.
London Greenwood Online Courses
All London Greenwood courses and public events have been cancelled because of the current coronavirus pandemic. These will recommence once it's safe for everyone to take part again. In the meantime, they are running online courses.
Online Services at St Bride’s Church
The current situation presents us all with difficult challenges. For St Bride's, public worship is not permitted at this crucial time in the church's year and our congregation and friends are isolated far and wide. Yet our spirit is not easily quenched and we have found new ways to connect.

A London Craft Week event by the Heritage Crafts Association in collaboration with the VOCES8 Centre, St Anne & St Agnes Church, London on Thursday 30th April, in support of the endangered craft of musical instrument making.
COLLECT International Art Fair
Collect, The International Art Fair for Modern Craft and Design is at Somerset House from 27 February to 1 March 2020. Over 40 galleries from the UK and around the world have been selected including Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) supported by the Turners' Company.
