Lunchtime recitals at St Bride’s

St Bride's has held a lunchtime recital series for over 25 years. It's a wonderfully relaxing way to take a break and change your focus. Recitals are held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 1.15 pm, admission is free and the recitals last for up to 45 minutes.


Eleanor Lakelin at COLLECT

New works by woodturner Eleanor Lakelin will be featured at the 22-25 February COLLECT 2018 exhibition organised by the Crafts Council. Held in the Saatchi Gallery, Kings’ Road, Chelsea, COLLECT brings together hundreds of makers working across a wide range of processes and materials.


Yet More Trial And Error

This is the fourth-year performance of 'Yet More Trial and Error' the ever-popular theatrical fundraising Revue for the benefit of the Sheriffs’ & Record’s Fund and Pan Intercultural Arts. The Shows are being organised for the 3 nights of Mon-Wed 12th-14th March 2018 at the Central Criminal Court.

Shine 2017

The Shine 2017 selling showcase turns the spotlight on new jewellery and silversmithing talent at the Goldsmiths’ Centre. It brings together the best up and coming jewellery brands and designer makers from across the UK. The event is free, and open to the public until 20th December.


The City’s Original Christmas Market

Start the festive season at the City's original Christmas market. The Guildhall market is open on Tuesday 28 November, with a special preview night on 27th. The Turners have again been asked to have a stall, all proceeds going towards the lifesaving work of the British Red Cross.


Cockpit Arts Open Studios

Cockpit Arts Christmas Open Studios, is a perfect opportunity to buy direct from independent makers. Cockpit Arts Turners award recipients, Darren Appiagyei, and Eleanor Lakelin will be showing works from their studios at the Deptford event from 1st to 3rd December.


Turning Against Torture

A unique auction of beautiful artworks turned out of wood from Greenwich Royal Park is set to raise funds for Freedom from Torture. The collection will be auctioned at the Trafalgar Tavern on the evening of the 17th November, with all proceeds going to support vital work with survivors of torture.


Handmade Edinburgh 17

Following the success of Handmade in Britain’s first year in Scotland, Handmade Edinburgh will be returning to the Royal Mile 27 - 29 October. Makers, including RPT member, Richard Shock, will be on hand throughout the weekend to talk about their work and showcase their collections.


Exhibitions Featuring Liveryman Ray Key BEM

Ray's work embraces minimalism; 'my quest is to produce objects of beauty and elegant simplicity'. His work has been selected for display at 'Enriched' the Gallery at the Guild until 4 October, and 'Worcestershire Guild of Contemporary Crafts', at the Gordon Russell Design Museum until 17 September.


House of Garrard Window Display by Joey Richardson

Congratulations to Joey Richardson, Liveryman and Queen Elizabeth Scholoarship Trust (QEST) Scholar for producing such a stunning display of 38 butterflies and 8 sculptures for the House of Garrard, London.


Great Fire of London 350th anniversary

Great Fire 350 marks the 350th anniversary of the 1666 Great Fire of London. Throughout the rest of 2016, City organisations will mark the commemoration with a season of events including exhibitions, concerts, lectures and tours. The London's Burning festival is a highlight from 30 August to 4 Sept.


Ray Key exhibits at The Gallery at the Guild, Chipping Camden

Ray Key, Master in Turning and member of the Turners' Company, is one of four craftsmen featured in the 'Tensile' exhibition at the The Gallery at the Guild, Chipping Camden, Gloucestershire from 3 June to 13 July.
