The Worshipful Company of Turners

Supporting the Craft, City and Charity for over four hundred years

The Turners’ Company awards an annual prize at the No. 4 School of Technical Training at RAF St.Athan (west of Cardiff).

Air Craftsman Leonard Clark graduated on 11th May 2017 with the General Technicians Workshops Course No. 33. His hard work and enthusiasm for engineering had shown him to be “exceptional” in all non-academic areas of training including turning.

During the formal presentations attended by family and friends, Air Craftsman Clark  was awarded a Certificate of Merit by Squadron Leader Gareth Thomas and was presented with the Turners’ Cup by Deputy Master, Nicholas Edwards.

The attendees were shown around the training school which has an impressive range of teaching facilities for multi-disciplinary engineering to prepare the technicians for the increasing complexity of military equipment.
