The Events Committee have arranged a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with world class turner Nick Agar direct from his studio in Georgia, USA. Nick is one of the most creative makers in the field and has an unsurpassed knowledge and understanding of the many processes that are now used in this creative medium specializing in surface enhancement. Nick is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Turners, a member of the RPT and Patron of the Max Carey Woodturning Trust. He is co author of the book ‘woodturning evolution’.
Inspired by organic forms, pottery, sea fife, ancient cultures and his natural surroundings, Nick specialises in hollow forms, large diameter work, and surface enhancement. He is renowned for his Viking sunset bowls and wall sculptures in particular. His award-winning work often incorporates carving, airbrushing ceramic and metal effects – and we can expect to have exclusive insight into these techniques.
This live zoom workshop will cost £10 per household. Please share amongst family and friends, and book via the members area, or if not a member, email the assistant clerk to book your space (assistantclerk@turnersco.com).
