The Worshipful Company of Turners

Supporting the Craft, City and Charity for over four hundred years

Fundraising for the British Red Cross

With kind and generous donations from members of the Register of Professional Turners and various woodturning clubs, the Turners’ Company set up a stand at the Guildhall Christmas market in London, and with volunteers from the Company working hard, an incredible £4,200 was raised for the British Red Cross.

Volunteers, Liveryman Katie Abbbott, Court Assistant Jo Baddeley and Court Assistant Christopher Scott, and the stunning array of woodturned goods for sale.

I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say a huge ‘thank you’ to all those who donated pieces of work, so generously, and to those who manned the stall at the Guildhall.

Christopher Scott, Court Assistant and Chair of the Howe (Craft) Committee

The market itself was a stunning event with a fantastic range of stalls including many other Livery Companies.  Look out for the next one in 2021!
