Household Division Military Musical Spectacular

The annual Military Musical Spectacular is an annual concert performed on the Horse Guards Parade each year. This year the event will take place on the 5th, 6th and 7th July, Horse Guards Parade Ground at 7:30pm. The event is a large-scale musical spectacular celebrating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and the alliance of friendship and resolve that forms the bedrock of Commonwealth spirit. With innovative use of live music and modern technology linking such important initiatives as The Queen’s Green Canopy, messages from the Commonwealth and a moment of reflection to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Falklands War.
The Queen and The Commonwealth, in the Platinum Jubilee Year” will be an epic production, that truly celebrates the remarkable achievement of the Her Majesty The Queen. Set on the historic Horse Guards Parade in the beautiful surroundings of St James’s Park, stirring music, precision drill, horsemanship, dramatic lighting and fireworks, will all combine in an unforgettable, thrilling evening of music and pageantry.
There will be three different salute takers each night – these are also the special VIP guests of the night, who are usually a member of the Royal Family. The events end at 9:30pm.
