Ray Key Collaboration book for sale and Auction now live

An exhibition ‘Art from the Tree‘ of works from the AWGB Ray Key collaboration is available to view at Nature in Art, Twigworth near Gloucester until 21st July 2019. The exhibition includes 120 pieces from the Ray Key collaboration by turners from five continents; 60 pieces from the AWGB travelling exhibition; a “Masters in Turning” collective exhibition of work by the late Ray Key, Reg Hawthorne and Stuart Mortimer and an exhibition of local clubs and turners’ work.

The work isn’t for sale at the exhibition, but an auction of the collaboration pieces is now live at The Sale Room (look for AWGB under auctioneers). The auction is open until 13th October 2019, 17.00 pm.

A book of the collaboration is also available to purchase from the exhibition and also direct from the AWGB website for £25:

The book catalogues the collaboration project of part turned pieces from the late Ray Key’s workshop which were sent to turners around the world to finish in their own style. There are 128 pages with photos of the 118 finished pieces and ‘before’ photos of the part turned pieces used to create them. Each turner has contributed some of their recollections of Ray and an insight into how they finished their piece.

The book is an A4 sized hardback and is a unique record of an inspiring golbal collaboration project.
