Shrieval Chain Appeal
As the Summer approaches, preparations are well underway for the Presentation of the Chain and Badge which will be held at the newly refurbished Stationers’ Hall in late September.
The Shrieval Badge has been designed by a senior member of the Goldsmiths Company and will be assayed in Andrew Marsden’s home City of Sheffield. The bespoke Subscriber’s Book, which will carry the names of the many contributors and be on display at the Chain Appeal Presentation and afterwards at The Old Bailey, is also in design – as is the guest lists to the Chain Reception.
If members have yet to make a contribute to the Appeal and wish to, it’s very easy, and there are still a few weeks in which to do so. Donations in any sum would be greatly appreciated. Please refer to the Chain Appeal Letter appended for details of how to do so.
