The Master and Clerk are jumping for Youth Training

On Wednesday 8th May 2019, the Master Turner, David Batchelor, has decided to celebrate the near completion of his year in office by throwing himself out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft at 13,500 feet.

The Clerk, Alex Robertson, has been with the Master during the many “ups” of his year and thought it only right to accompany him on this major “down”!

As many of you will know, these two together can be a bit of a liability, thankfully they will be supervised on this adventure by members of the REME’s Lightning Bolts Army Parachute Display Team.

In memory of Ray Key BEM and his pioneering work in promoting the craft of turning, the Master has been keen to support members of the Register of Professional Turners (RPT) and the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain, (AWGB) in helping them to encourage the younger generation experience the benefits and joy woodturning can provide. It would be a wonderful end to this Master and Clerk partnership if you could help them raise additional funds to assist with Company’s support of youth training.  If the target can be reached at least ten young people can experience wood turning.  Who knows, a future Master in Turning might be amongst them.

Any donation, no matter how small, would be very much appreciated.  If you would like to donate, please visit the Just Giving fund raising page

Thank you. Your support is most welcome.
