The Turners Company Livery Dinner
The Worshipful Company of Turners welcomed the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor, Charles Bowman and the Sheriffs of the City of London, Alderman Timothy Hailes JP and Alderman Neil Redcliffe JP, to their Livery Dinner held in the beautiful backdrop of Skinners’ Hall in the City of London.
The Master Turner, Mr Andrew Neill, presented the Lord Mayor with an olive ash platter inlaid with camelian, turned by Register of Professional Turner members, Patricia Spero and Gabor Lacko, along with a donation for the Lord Mayor’s charity appeals.
The Master welcomed the full civic party… ‘you are promoting inclusion and diversity as well as the Livery movement’s historic commitments to philanthropy… The Lord Mayor’s Appeal has four pillars as it seeks to build a city that is inclusive, healthy, skilled and fair. Unusually, it has been agreed that the Appeal will continue across three years through to 2020. This innovation should allow for greater long term impact across the charities that you are supporting.‘
