St Paul’s Cathedral: Friday 16th March 2018
This uplifting annual Service originated in 1943, when at a meeting of the Twelve Great Companies it was decided to hold a service to lift spirits in the City following the Blitz in 1940-41.
The Service has now become an annual event in the presence of Lord Mayor, the Sheriffs and Court of Aldermen. It is one of the few occasions when the livery companies and Guilds of the City all gather together.
Only holders of valid tickets will be admitted to the Cathedral. The Turners’ Company has only been allocated a limited number of tickets.
If you wish to attend please contact the Clerk at your earliest opportunity.
The service will start at 11.15am and all ticket holders are required to be seated by 10.45am.
We have again been invited by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries to join them for an informal buffet lunch following the Service. Please let the Clerk know if you also wish to attend the lunch by Thursday 1st March.
