Celebrating Fellowship and History: The 2026 Brigantes Breakfast in Leeds

The Master Turner and colleagues at the Brigantes  (London Liveryman in the North) Breakfast at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.

The 2026 Brigantes Breakfast took place on Thursday, 16 July 2026, bringing together City of London Liverymen and their guests at the spectacular Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds. As the premier northern gathering for the Livery movement, this annual summer banquet bridges traditional City of London prestige with northern fellowship and heritage. Early arrivals gathered in the Bury Theatre for an insightful lecture delivered by Nat Edwards, the Director General and Master of the Royal Armouries. Guests then moved to the Tournament Gallery for a drinks reception, where they were treated to a thrilling, live medieval armed combat demonstration by the historical performance group Histrionics.

Modelled after a formal Mansion House Banquet, the main luncheon featured the traditional procession of Livery Masters and Principal Guests. The dining experience was further enhanced by stunning musical performances from Opera North singers.
