Congratulations to Liveryman Peter Bradwick on being awarded the MBE in the New Year’s Honours for services to woodturning. Peter has worked tirelessly in devising the syllabus for the Company’s Certificate and Diploma in Turning and he moderates all students’ work before the Company makes any award. The Master, Christopher Scott, says ‘Peter worked with Master Emeritus Peter Ellis and others to introduce these qualifications which are increasingly popular, with a growing number of woodturning workshops being accredited as delivery centres. His MBE reflects this commitment as well as his contributions to turning through his own club in Cwmbran and being a Trustee of the Max Carey Woodturning Trust in Portishead.
