Matt Underwood WIW25

After finishing university in 2021 Matt decided to try turning full time based from his home workshop in Worcester. His bread-and-butter work has been turning magic wands and wooden fruit which he has been selling through Etsy for the last few years.
He produces various woodturning videos on YouTube, as well as experimenting with a variety of delicate turned flowers. He tries to source all his wood straight from the tree and has been building a stock of processed timber.
Matt made a rugby ball urn for his late Dad in January 2021 and has since produced a few more along with a YouTube video. They’re designed with CAD software and he has to be very precise and accurate making them to ensure they are perfect. He really enjoys making them as they combine two of his passions, woodturning and rugby.
