Within weeks of becoming a Freeman in 2004, Fred joined the first Wizardry in Wood Committee and undertook to provide Event Security through Reveal Services Limited, the Company he had founded on retiring as a Detective Inspector from the Metropolitan Police, and has provided security to every event since at no cost to the Company.
Fred has introduced his daughter and many friends to the Company. For many years he has stood out for so extensively supporting the Company and for participating comprehensively in the Company’s many Committees and Social Events. When asked many years ago whether he might consider joining the Court of Assistants he declined on the grounds that he preferred to render what assistance he could unobtrusively.
Fred Bain’s Outstanding Service to the Worshipful Company of Turners over more than 20 years stands out. It clearly meets the Criteria for the Company Gold Medal.
