Deputy Master Nigel Luson welcomes the Lord Mayor, Alderman Alastair King DL to the Turners stand, selling unique hand turned items in aid of the armed services charities, at the Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch in Guildhall London. We made a fantastic £1345 on the stall, but more will be added in time due to the generosity of our turners Reg Hawthorne and Stuart King.
The silent auction, is where you can bid for a variety of items and experiences. Liveryman Reg Hawthorne has donated an exquisite hand turned egg with his signature ‘surprise’ inside. Click here to bid for this egg. The auction will close at the end of the day on 10th April.
There is also a prize draw for The Trafalgar Watch. This is a bespoke watch presented within a wooden box containing a fragment of the 1805 HMS Victory. Freeman Stuart King donated his time and kindly made the inlay which features a pearwood background, cannons made from HMS Victory oak, a carved English holly center roundel and an Edwardian style rope. inlay.
