Turners spring to pastures new

Members and their guests enjoyed a fabulous night at Grocers’ Hall for their spring dinner.  This was the first time the Company had held a dinner at Grocers’ Hall, and it provided a splendid venue. Members and guests listened to an illuminating speech by Randolph Churchill who spoke about his Great Grandfather Sir Winston Churchill. Coincidentally, our Company spring dinner fell on the 79th anniversary of Sir Winston Churchill’s appointment as Prime Minister.  The Master presented Randolph Churchill with a gift of a St Paul’s turned bell from the Company appeal.

The prize of a Wassail Bowl for an annual competition for the best REME Battalion in the Army was presented at this Dinner to Lt Col Paul Cummings of 6 Armoured Clopse Support Battalion REME.

Truly magical musical entertainment was provided by Gwendolen Martin, Soprano, and Michael Waldron on the piano.

A selection of photographs are shown here, with the full set available to view soon in the members photographic archive.
